About us
Open Law was founded in 2000 by practising lawyers and lecturers of the Moscow State Law Academy (now the Kutafin Moscow State Law University).
Our lawyers constantly develop their theoretical and practical expertise: team members hold advanced academic degrees, conduct research, and take part in conferences and professional training. The team includes both consultants and registered patent attorneys with experience in disputes before courts, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, and the Chamber for Patent Disputes of Rospatent.
Open Law's clients are Russian and international companies of all profiles and sizes — from the largest e-commerce operators to emerging businesses. They value our responsiveness, flexible approach to business tasks, and quality of service.
The firm provides legal support throughout the Russian Federation and maintains an extensive network of legal partners in Russia and abroad.
Recognised expertise
Partners of the firm have repeatedly appeared as legal experts on major Russian television channels — Channel One, RBC TV, and Lifenews — and have held training seminars for fellow lawyers, including on the theory and practice of trademark registration.
Social responsibility
We build our business with a full understanding of our social obligations: the human side of business relationships is as valuable to us as the economic one. The main pillars of our social policy are:
- fostering communication and exchange of experience within corporate lawyer communities;
- teaching at universities and contributing to the education of young professionals;
- pro bono legal assistance to organisations in education, enlightenment, and international cooperation, and free services to socially vulnerable individuals;
- participation in sponsorship and charity projects supporting vulnerable social groups.
Professional memberships
The firm and its lawyers are members of professional associations, including the Chamber of Patent Attorneys.
